How to Import a Patient List into Zentake
Importing your patient list into Zentake is quick and simple using the CSV upload feature. Follow the steps below to bring all your patient data into Zentake in just a few minutes.
Step 1: Go to the Clients Tab
From your Zentake dashboard, navigate to the Clients tab. This is where all your patient records are stored and managed.
Step 2: Click Create Client
In the top right corner, click the Create Client button. This will open the client creation menu where you can either add a single patient manually or upload a list.
Step 3: Toggle to Upload CSV
Select the Upload CSV option to begin the bulk import process.

Step 4: Upload Your CSV File
Choose your CSV file from your computer. Make sure your file includes headers for each column (e.g., First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, Date of Birth).
Step 5: Map the Fields
Zentake will automatically detect your CSV columns. Review and map each field to the correct Zentake demographic field (e.g., map “DOB” to “Date of Birth”).
Step 6: Click Continue Import
Once you’ve reviewed your mappings, click Continue Import to start uploading your patient data.
Step 7: Done!
Zentake will process your file and display a confirmation once your patients are successfully imported. You’ll now see your imported clients listed in the Clients tab.
⚙️ Troubleshooting Tips
- File format: Ensure your file is saved as
.csv(comma-separated values). - Duplicate records: Zentake will skip or merge duplicates based on name and dob.
