Turn off "auto-fill" on tablets

Auto-fill is a feature used in several browsers to help prevent you from filling out fields over and over again. This can sometimes cause an issue while using in-office, Tablet mode or Kiosk mode due to browsers saving sensitive information and  auto-filling unintended fields and accidentally saving over needed information. This has been known to occur for Follow the steps below according to your OS and browser to disable this feature.


Chrome (Android)

Disabling autofill in Chrome on Android device

  1. Go to you chrome browser
  2. Tap on the three dot menu icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. You will see (Passwords, Payment Methods, Addresses and more)
  5. Click into each and swipe to off.

Safari (Ipads)

Disabling autofill in Safari on iPad

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Safari.
  3. Under “General” Tap “AutoFill”
  4. Turn off “Use Contact Info” and “Credit Cards”
